Strategic Plan: 2019-2024

The School of Social Welfare's 2019-2024 Strategic Plan supports the school's vision, mission, and guiding principles and values.

The School of Social Welfare supports the KU mission by teaching students to practice social work with integrity and competence.

Our undergraduate and graduate programs educate and support qualified, compassionate social workers on campuses across the state and online. We are dedicated to supporting our students from the first day of class until graduation day, with specialized services including a writing consultant, student support coordinator, retention coordinator, and emergency funding.

The School’s community-engaged research and service contributes millions of dollars in sponsored research funding to Kansas partners each year. KU Social Welfare research drives discoveries that transform lives, with active projects creating solutions to complex problems in areas including healthcare access, child welfare and mental health.
