Admissions
Be a Jayhawk Social Worker
The KU School of Social Welfare has been preparing students for careers in social work for over 85 years. It is the top-ranked, longest-accredited social work program in Kansas.
KU is the only program in the state to offer social work degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels: BSW, MSW, DSW and PhD.
No matter which degree they pursue or where they attend classes, KU social work students have access to newly revised courses and student support services. At graduation, they join an extensive network of Jayhawk Social Workers.
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Offered at KU campuses in Lawrence and Overland Park, the BSW curriculum prepares graduates for beginning generalist social work practice with individuals, groups, organizations and communities.
