Biography —
Nattacha Hope is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from The University of Alabama.
Hope is currently a senior social worker in the Veterans Affairs Health Care System. She serves as a lead social work coordinator focused on veterans’ health and psychosocial needs in VA community-based outpatient clinics. She also provides consultation and education to veterans, families, and community organizations on VA benefits and multiple programs, community resources, and services to address the needs of veterans and families.

Practice and Research Focus Areas
Hope's practice focus is in health care social work. Her research focus as a doctoral student is in social determinants of health, interprofessional collaboration in health care, interprofessional education and training, and trauma-informed care.
DSW Capstone Project
Capstone project title: Strengthening Social Workers’ Impact on Interprofessional Collaborative Practice
Capstone project description: This capstone project focuses on addressing challenges among social workers related to interprofessional collaborative practice in health care settings. The project is intended to impact social work education and support interprofessional health care training. The project will provide practical interventions for social workers on identified challenges with interprofessional collaborative practice while strengthening social workers’ professional identity in health care settings, diverse skills, and areas of expertise to address the population’s complex health, social, and behavioral health needs.
