Michelle Levy, LMSW, is a Research Project Director who has worked in the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas since 1999. She has served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on nearly 25 funded studies in rural health, interprofessional education, child & family services, and behavioral health workforce development. In recognition of contributions to students and the teaching mission in the KUSSW, she was honored with the 2024 Harry and Suzanne Statland Research Staff Award. Before joining the School, she spent her early social work career providing public health education and therapeutic foster care. She received her BSW from KU and her AM in Social Service Administration with a Certificate in Health Administration and Policy from the University of Chicago.
