Biography —
Kortney’s scholarly interests include the health and well-being of Black men, trauma, and hope. The goals of her work include engaging Black men in research and amplifying their voices and experiences due to the unique challenges that they face. Within her teaching, she focuses on assisting students in building advanced, competent, multi-system skills while infusing DEI and social justice into every course taught.
