Biography

Hazel Rogers joins the KU School of Social Welfare this fall as the new student support coordinator and brings her wealth of experience in educational spaces to the school.

Hazel, a graduate of the MSW program at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, will continue her success in creating support for the school’s students and their well-being. She was previously the special programs coordinator for International Support Services at KU.

Along with her experience in education, Hazel has been a Peace Corps volunteer in Kosovo, an English teacher in South Korea, and worked for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation managing youth suicide and substance misuse prevention programs.

“I am so excited to join the School of Social Welfare as the student support coordinator,” Hazel said. “I am so touched by the incredibly warm welcome I have already received from the SSW community, and I am very much looking forward to working with you all this fall.”
