Biography

Brittany Harris-Eaves is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas. She also has a PreK-12 school social worker certificate.

Harris-Eaves currently works as a school social worker, where she supports exceptional students with Social Emotional Learning. Her previous work involved supporting K-12 students with Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Research

Practice and Research Focus Areas

Harris-Eaves has an interest in advancing equity and empowerment through education, with a focus on leadership development, retention of professionals in academic settings, and the mental health and well-being of women of color. She is passionate about creating inclusive educational environments that nurture the growth of underrepresented students and professionals. Other areas of interest include developing culturally responsive programming, fostering identity-affirming leadership pathways, and addressing systemic barriers that affect mental health, access, and achievement, particularly for people of color.
