Améa Chandler

Améa Chandler is the BSW Student Retention Coordinator for the School of Social Welfare. She is also one of the Academic Advisors for the MSW program (Edwards Campus). She has been working with students in different capacities (housing, counseling, recruitment, advising, and retention) for over 15 years and is passionate about helping students navigate their academic journey. She received her bachelors (Speech Communication) and masters (Applied Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences with wellness emphasis) degrees from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. Améa enjoys cooking, kayaking, reading, and watching Korean dramas. She also has two cats named Jack and Lily.
