2023 Anti-Trans Policies & Social Work Education: A National Town Hall

Flier for the 2023 Town Hall, details in text below, hand holding a sign that says Trans Rights Now

The Center for LGBTQ+ Research & Advocacy and the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and co-sponsors across the U.S. organized the 2nd annual town hall discussion about best practices in social work education to address anti-trans policies that conflict with professional ethics and values. Building on the 2022 town hall, the 2023 town hall responded to the increasing onslaught of anti-trans legislation, rhetoric, and violence across the U.S. The town hall highlights how inaction IS action and social work education must change to provide advocacy and action in this area.
