Biography

Amy Gray, Development Officer for the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas, is a proud KU graduate, receiving her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 2013.

Amy has spent her career working with marginalized and oppressed groups, including runaway and homeless youth, court-ordered adults and juvenile offenders, and within various organizations that advocate for and assist the LGBTQ+ population. Amy also led nonprofit campaigns for United Way of Greater Kansas City across the Kansas City metro area for two years.

An adventurous spirit led Amy to leap into her new role: Major Gift Fundraiser! She enjoys connecting with alumni of KU and the School of Social Welfare, making sure donors’ gifts accomplish their philanthropic goals and provide transformative experiences for KU students, faculty, and staff.

Amy is a staunch Social Work advocate, a proud Jayhawk, and the fun aunt. In her personal time, Amy enjoys traveling, reading, kayaking, taking photographs, supporting the KC Current, and taking her “littles” on grand adventures.
