Dr. Sarah Jen awarded 2025 Gene A. and Gretchen Budig Award for Excellence in Teaching

The KU School of Social Welfare is pleased to announce the 2024-2025 Gene A. and Gretchen Budig Award for Excellence in Teaching. In recognition of contributions to students and the teaching mission in the KU School of Social Welfare, Dr. Sarah Jen is honored with the Budig Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Jen has shown immense dedication to the educational mission of the KU School of Social Welfare through her commitment to students both inside and outside of the classroom, including her leadership as the director of the PhD program, engagement in course innovation and assessment work with the Center for Teaching Excellence, development and reimagining of aging-related courses, and service as a supervisor for the Sigler Family Aging Scholars Program.
