Tuition & Aid

The KU Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides up-to-date and accurate information regarding tuition and fees for KU School of Social Welfare undergraduates and graduates.

Residency

Students are classified as Kansas resident or out-of-state resident based on information provided on the application for admission. The determination of residency status is made by the Office of the University Registrar in accordance with Kansas regulations. This classification makes a difference in the cost of attending the School of Social Welfare. If you have questions about your residency status, contact the Office of the University Registrar.

Tuition and fees for off–campus credit courses are assessed at rates equal to resident tuition. The School of Social Welfare Partnership Sites are classified as off-campus; therefore, courses taken at these locations will be charged at the resident tuition rate. KU considers on-campus locations to be the Edwards campus, the Lawrence campus, or KU Medical Center; therefore, your residency status will determine your tuition charges.

KU Edwards Campus MetroKC Rate

The KU Edwards Campus MetroKC rate offers in-state tuition rates to Missouri residents who qualify. No credit hour limit applies.
