Short Term Independent Contractor Position


Seeking Applicants for Short Term Independent Contractor Position: Quality Improvement Center on Domestic Violence in Child Welfare Evaluation Team

We are seeking applicants for an independent contractor position to contribute to the Quality Improvement Center on Domestic Violence in Child Welfare (QIC-DVCW) evaluation team at the University of Kansas (KU) School of Social Welfare. The QIC-DVCW, led by Futures Without Violence, and funded by the Children's Bureau, Department of Health and Human Services, was established in 2016 to test interventions that are designed to improve how child welfare agencies work with community partners to serve families who are experiencing domestic violence. We are looking for applicants who are willing to join our research team on this important project. Here's what we are looking for: 

Required: 

  • Racial and gender equity research lens
  • Child welfare practice and/or research background 
  • DV practice and/or research background
  • Expertise with AFCARS, NCANDS, and/or state level administrative child welfare data
  • Availability during summer 2021, up to 20 hours weekly for sprints of time, may extend into fall 2021

Preferred: 

  • High level of competency in complex statistical methods with longitudinal data 
  • Experience conducting intervention research, ideally multi-site
  • Familiar with implementation science
