Dr. Banerjee receives 2017 George and Eleanor Woodyard International Educator Award

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Mahasweta Banerjee has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 George and Eleanor Woodyard International Educator Award. Her unanimous selection among a strong field of candidates acknowledges her substantial and lasting impact on international education at KU.

The committee is recognizing Dr. Banerjee for ger sustained and consistent commitment to international education and research as evidenced by her long-term pattern of leading study abroad trips, regular incorporation of international material into her on campus courses, internationally focused research, extensive collaboration with other researchers abroad, and leadership in internationalization efforts on campus and in her profession through participation in both campus and professional organizations. She is a true international educator.

The Office of International Programs will present Dr. Banerjee with the Woodyard Award and honor her work as an international educator at a reception to be scheduled later this term or the beginning of the spring term.
