A message from Dean Michelle Mohr Carney
The white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, is a revolting display of bigotry and intimidation that we as social justice advocates and social workers absolutely disagree with and work daily to eradicate. Our thoughts are with the Charlottesville community, our fellow peers at the University of Virginia, and all those that continue to fear acts of violence every day. Sadly, these racist behaviors aren’t new to the world. There has been far too much violence and sadness in this country, and we need to stand together against those who threaten our most vulnerable populations.
