People You Should Get To Know
Tom McDonald, PhD, interim dean and professor, is the chief administrator for the School of Social Welfare. His office is located in room 212 Twente Hall.
Steve Kapp, PhD, professor and associate dean for academic programs, has his office on the Lawrence Campus in room 206 Twente Hall.
Ed Scanlon, PhD, associate professor, director of MSW Program, has his office in 270 Regnier Hall on the Edwards Campus.
On the Lawrence Campus, MSW students work most closely with Kristin Trendel, assistant dean (216 Twente); and Laurie Ramirez, Graduate Student Services Coordinator (110 Twente) for questions concerning enrollment, program requirements, and adds/drops. Questions regarding admissions and student records should be addressed to Becky Hofer, Director of Admissions (108 Twente).
On the Edwards Campus, MSW students work closely with Sydney Spears, program coordinator, Edwards Campus; and Marla Sloop, office manager. Both can be found in Regnier Hall at the Edwards Campus. They can help with questions concerning enrollment, program requirements, and adds/drops. Questions regarding admissions and student records should be addressed to Becky Hofer, Director of Admissions (108 Twente Hall).
On the Western Kansas Campus, MSW students work most closely with Christina Boyd, program director.
All students will work with the Field Education Office. Jennie Marsh is the director of the field education program (106 Twente); Cathy Accurso is the associate director of field education placements (270 Regnier Hall) and Kelly Jones is the associate director of field programs (103 Twente). Alberta Wright, office manager for the field education office is located in 105 Twente. The field education office schedules group meetings and individual student appointments on both campuses.
